US September 05 news
Here’s just a little news from the DuFFS camp
If you haven’t heard or received the press releases then here’s a couple new additions. Pat Rakestraw, Pro For Black Label Skateboards, Pig Wheels, Independent Trucks, and Split Clothing, has joined DuFFS. Along with Dyson Ramones am for Stereo, and Hurley.
Rakestraw has just returned from his home state of North Carolina and is preparing to take off for Hawaii with The Split crew this month.
Mike Rusczyk is also on the road. He has taken a short trip to England with photographer, Brian Gaberman.
Trying to keep up with Matt Hensley is not an easy task either. He’s here and he’s gone again. We hear of random sightings of him at skate parks around San Diego . Life as the accordion player of Flogging Molly is keeping him on the run. Look for him in a town near you. Check their site at floggingmolly.com. If they’re playing in your town head to the park the day of the show. He’s been known to skate the local park before the show.
Besides working on a video part for his board sponsor, Enjoi, Jason Adams recently returned from Portland where he and Russ Pope, DuFFS V.P. of Marketing, had an art showing at Cal ’s Pharmacy and painted a mural at the Department of Skateboarding. Along with the showing they shot photos with Jai Tanju for a piece on skateboardermag.com. Here’s a link: http://skateboardermag.com/skateboarder-news-features/features/AIpopeadms/
The rest of the guys are up to business as usual. Alfaro is working on a couple magazine articles as well as his Black Label video part. Don’s now settled into his new house. Rumors have him looking for a new board sponsor. Nothing confirmed as of yet. He has some good footage in the new 411 as well as a new DuFFS ad coming out in the last issue of this years 411.
