US Team News - May `05

Jason Adams - has been spending his days filming and shooting photos. He’s working on a part for the Enjoi video. He spent half the month on the road, San Jose to San Diego to Phoenix and back to San Jose by way of Vegas. What a trip. He was on such a filming mission he didn’t event stop to see us on his way down to S.D.

Adam Alfaro - has been seen in many different cities as well this past month. He spent a lot of time in Arizona with both Dave Swift from the Skateboard Mag and Rhino who shoots for a couple different mags. Adam’s busy filming for a Label film and rumor has it The Skateboard Mag wants to do something with him as well.
After returning from Phoenix he hopped into the Label van and headed to the Northwest to film and shoot some more. He’s on a mission as well.

Coverage: Adam had all the Black Label ads in the magazines with a May 2005 cover date. Frontside air off the extension in a bowl. Some mags had a two-page spread and some mags had full-page ads.

Stacy Lowery - Is putting the finishing touches on a TransWorld Skateboarding piece. He’s been seen shooting with Chris Ortiz in hopes of getting a “Pro Spotlight” versus a “Good Stuff” or “20 questions.” This may take longer than expected if Stacy gets his way. Santa Cruz is getting the team an apartment in Spain over the summer. I’m sure he’ll want to use some of the shots he gets from his stay there for his TWS piece. Be sure to check out his part in the newly released Santa Cruz video.

James Atkin - Not only has James been busy skating, he’s been working on finding a new home for him and some of the Hellrose crew. But all work and no play will make James a cranking skateboarder, so he took off for a short skate trip with David Broach to Barcelona .

Don Nguyen “The Nuge” - Don kind of started the whole Spain thing off last month. Don needed out of Hollywood for a bit and got invited to stay with Ruben Garcia for a while. Nice, place to stay and a tour guide. He spent all last month in Barcelona where James and Broach met up with him to get some work done.

Mike Rusczyk - The newest guy on the team was busy last month shooting for 2 new Duffs ads, one in Skateboarder and the other in TransWorld and Thrasher. He’s been busy filming and shooting. He left earlier this month for Barcelona as well. He’s there for the month to work on filming for his Duffs 411 commercial. From there he flies home to go on a Foundation U.S. tour.

Lizard - Lizard started April off right, at the Phoenix am contest. He did quite well and had a lot of fun, both on his board and off. He spent the rest of the month with a couple friends from Salt Lake traveling around southern California and filming. Then took off for northern California with the Pig Wood team to film for their video due out in June.

Micah Hollinger - has been holding it down in Colorado with the rest of the “Wet Boys”. He and the rest of his crew came out to the Phoenix am contest to skate, have some fun, and premiere the new Wet Boys video.

Damian Smith - is happy that his second video part with Santa Cruz is finally finished. He’s now working on graphics for his first pro board. He spent the last month in the bay area skating before the premiere of the video.
