DuFFS CONCRETE CARNAGE PT.2
SOUTHSEA 14 | 08 | 04 REPORT.

The second part of the DuFFS Concrete Carnage series went off with amazing weather and loads of amazing skating.

The park itself was built back in 1978 and still has most of its original features plus a street course and vet ramp. The concrete is rad, it has a snake run, mini bowl, vert bowl with metal coping and a 15ft deep round bowl aptly named “Satan’s Toilet”. The session went off from the start and the first thing see some action was the snake run. Some of the Southsea legends were killing it such as Barry Abrook, Gary Lee, Trawler and even Oxfords finest Sean Goff was throwing down some rad lines. A makeshift tombstone was held up on one of the corners of the snake and although unstable many made fs and bs kickturns on over 3ft of vert , Mattias Nylen even managed to fs ollie onto the tomb!!

Next was Satans Toilet with Sean Goff making a rad layback on the corner of the shallow end, which is still about 12ft! Local boy Paul rock and rolled the tomb and put down a body varial hang up up there to, some other slash dogs did fs grinds and some sick laybacks up there, but mr potato Mattias Nylen took down a fs Ollie disaster from low to high to shut that session down!

The vert bowl was next to see some action with TM Munson throwing in a few Egg plants and fs rocks, never far away Ben Raemers did some nice airwalk fakies, maydays and a couple of rad lines over the hips. Sean Goff did a rad Todd twist and some rad carve lines. DuFFS rider Carl Wilson did a sick BS smith in there plus Ollie blunt and BS tails.

Then it was finally over to the street course for the final part of the contest - kids were killing themselves! Obviously inspired by the session the rail saw some serious action with local boy Steve killing it with crooks, blunt slides and he came really close to a hurricane!! Dave Davies threw in a nice feeble, fs board and was abused into making a back lip, which was rad! On the driveway Carl Wilson made light work of a gap to lip and went on to take down a perfect gap to noseblunt slide! Raemers did a huge BS 360 over the spine, but Carl shut the whole street course down with a kickflip 5050 over the driveway gap! sick… then over to satans toilet for the product toss, carnage as ever!
