Fun Lovin Criminals take a break with DuFFS
As the always stylish Fun Lovin Criminals were about to embark on the start of their UK tour, they took some time out in Manchester to hook up with the DuFFS boys. Huey and co have been long time admirers of DuFFS and this was the perfect opportunity for the band to get their hands on some of our kicks!
As you can see from our photos ladies man singer and guitarist Huey and drummer Frank were particularly taken with Jason Adams pro shoe the Kid so if you're gonna go see them on tour keep an eye out for the DuFFS!

Newquay Boardmasters
Mattias really outdid himself at this years Rip Curl Boardmasters event in Newquay. After qualifying 5th with runs including Mctwists, f/s blunts and Inverts, kickflip Indys and kickflip Indy fakie he decided to chill out and
Have surf. After borrowing girlfriend Ro’s tiny pink surfboard he hit the waves, not even bothering with a wetsuit. Meanwhile Ro decides to relax in the bar where she hears the surf commentator saying, “Will the man on the pink surfboard please leave the competition area”. She looks at the big screen on the beach just in time to see Mattias show them the finger!
Mattias went on to finish 8th in the final (probably a bit tired from all the surfing) but placed third in the best trick comp by learning f/s bluntslides in about 5 goes! That boy really is one of a kind. Just for that here is a seq of the Swede dropping a fs blunt at this years Cradle comp in Austria !

Built to Destroy Tour Holland
Duffs UK riders Carl Wilson, Raemers, Rees the Piece, the man and Munson joined Yanks, Guru Khalsa, Danny Fuendzalida, and Todd Jordan and the cream of the Dutch and Belgium skate scene on a tour around Holland and Belgium, hitting street spots in between the demo’s. A fun time was had by all and the article should be in an upcoming Document soon! Keep those eyes peeled!!

Who's Bad?
Ben just got back from the Groms tour in OZ and the word is he was off the hook! Rumours of a cardiel gap getting done in the rain and loads of other crazy stuff are rife, wait for the shots in an upcoming Document! But for now check him dancing with a tribesman! Yee hee, owww!

Doco King of the Road
Keep you eyes open for the Document Big Push issue out real soon, with the DVD from the king of the road! Look out for DuFFS riders Ben Cundall and Blackwell in the 18 min Death part of the DVD!

Mess with the US
Munson and Carl Wilson are off to Mess with the USA with a 3-week trip to the NW to check out the best concrete in the world and finish the filming for their part in the Death vid!! The Footage should be off the Hook! As for footy check the shot of Carl with a K on a peach of A RAIL!

Eastpak Transition Tour
Team riders Lee Blackwell and BMX team rider Phil Aller are on this years Eastpak transition tour, look out for the rabble at a park near you, and footage on the extreme channel around Christmas!

Check out the 8-page insight into the wonder boy! Sick shots of every type of skating, from Full pipes to flips down monster sets, the kid kills it! But you probably already know that, check out a couple of the shots.

The Swede in Basel
Mattias managed to get through to finals in the pro vert contest! Although rain stopped play the finals and the runs took place between showers the Swede ended up in 9 th! The bowl comp came next and Mattias killed it as you would expect with fs blunts, BS smiths and blunt fakies on the 6 ft of vert tomb! Shame there was no best trick comp! Good work mate.

Concrete Carnival in Penzance
The 1st event held at what is probably the best new bowl built in the UK , went off and the DuFFS boys took it apart! Raemers was on fire all weekend, Mattias was in his element, Carl Wilson stepped up and took down some of the gnarliest lines done all weekend, Blackwell and Munson also threw some crazy stuff down in the tricks for cash comps! On Saturday the unsponsored comp went down and they were going crazy for the product! Some good stuff got done and bodies went down! Then came the best trick and the Swede was fs blunting the vert extension, Nicky Cornell fs heelflip indeed the hip. But Raemers took it with BS 360s from bowl to bowl and a sick boneless to noseblunt onto the vert extension. Mental!

On the Sunday came the main event, Mattias, Carl and Ben all sailed through to the finals and the competition was fierce for the prize money, Carl put down some great line and 1ft ollied from bowl to bowl 1 st try, dropped alley oop fs stalefishes over the hip and some huge airs on the vert to take 4 place! In 3 rd Kill city boyo Nicky Cornell powered round the bowls, with FS 50 fakies round the corners, Heel flip indies, and some huge transfers, in 2 nd came little Ben Raemers with sick 360’s bowl top bowl, miller flips, big airs over all the hips and he got super close to a mctwist on the vert extension!! Although an injured wrist put him in the back of the ambulance for a while after the final’s! 1 st Place went to our very own Mattias Nylen who flowed around the park and put down some sick stuff, ollie smith’s up the extension, fs blunts on the vert, a rad transfer from the mini bowl into the deep end. The Swede was going off!

Overall a rad comp a great atmosphere and a lot of crazy stuff got put down, amazing weather and a sick park, can’t wait for next year!
