DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL
The chance to see bands like Metallica, Slayer and Iggy Pop plus to skate the Soul Bowl with the likes of Rune Glifberg and Steve Caballero doesn’t come round to often so it was no surprise that we had a few DuFFS riders in the house. The UK team comp was planned on the street course so Harry and Man represented Unabomber, Rees was also there taking care of Business for Death alongside new boy Ben Cundall. The street course was not up to much with no real lines and as a result the team comp wasn’t that impressive, although Metallica more than made up for that! They were awesome in a truly non American sense! Amazing

MARSEILLE BOWL RIDERS
The Marseille contest went off as usual - with 35000 euros up for grabs competition was fierce. The standard of skateboarding was amazing! The cockney Swede Mattias Nylen was in the mix with some nice transfers and fs blunts on the rainbow extension in the cloverleaf section of the park. He even put down a few fs inverts in the vert bowl. Everyone was killing the park, Andy Scott was ruling with some huge kickflip melons over the hip and spine and some sick smith grinds on the vert extension. Omar went off with loads of sick transfers. He took apart the vert wall with 50 fakies, feeble grinds, and fs 50’s. Local ruler Alex was flying. Marseille is still definitely the best skate park contest in the world. Go there and see what the fuss is all about - you wont be disappointed!

Results:
1st Omar Hassan
2nd TNT
3rd Alex Giraud

THE CRADLE BOWL RIDERS
Mattias Nylen went from Marseille to the Cradle in Austria for the 2nd part of the bowl riders contest. No news from the Potato as yet so as far as we know he could still be there?! We will keep you posted though!

POLAND
This years mentor session in Poland was better than ever with DuFFS represented by TM Munson and Carl Wilson along with more of the Essex crew! The contest itself is held in a hockey stadium and the street course is one of the only in Poland, the course was pretty good and Carl had the lines straight away. The vert wall got some action from Munson with Feeble fakies and even a mayday atop 5ft of vert in the best trick comp! Carl sailed through to the final and ended up in 6th place with a couple of good solid runs. When the best trick came around Carl was on fire with Crails on the vert wall a fs flip over the 1/4 to 1/4 gap and a huge kf Indy to fakie and ended up with 500 euros and the best trick trophy! Nice one Carl!!!
